Do not give up if at firsr you`re turned down. Seek help from the dept.`s lawyer , another fire dept , next time you attend FIRE SCHOOL.. Use FIRE GRANT HELP .COM .. Never stop asking for help. Due fund raisers like , pancake breakfasts, car washes , ask wal-mart to let ya have a boot block at one or any of their stores, they will usually match what you collect.Good people to ask are the AM. VETS ,American Legion , VFW ..bOOT BLOCK OUT SIDE YOUR LOCAL FOOD STORES . bELIEVE ME ,every penny helps . First thing ya know you`ll have enough money to buy an AED, for your first out truck. GOOD LUCK ..DONALD TWITCHEL ,Gravois Fire Protection District,Firefighter/EMT/LPN RETIRED after ten years of service.
