Odds of Still Getting Funded?

Good morning. I read your article from late 2010 reagrading what to do if your AFG grant application was turned down. My department was successful in obtaining a second round 2008 AFG grant. We have not heard anything to this point for 2010. I know we made it to peer review but no 1199A or 10 questions. I believe the grants are about half way done. If we have not heard anything to this point are the odds we are still in the running for funding pretty low? Thank you.

I think the grant announcements are about 40% done. If you haven’t heard anything yet you are still in the running. Normally you will get your questions about 2-3 weeks before the announcement is made by your congressman or senator. I know of a department that just received their questions on Tuesday. If I were you I wouldn’t make any judgments yet and wait until you hear one way or the other.
